Education: high technical and high patent; electronic engineer – Yerevan Polytechnic Institute, 1970. Patent education - Moscow Central Institute of Intellectual Property, 1988.

Experience: More than 50 years of experience in the sphere of intellectual property. Long years of teaching experience in Armenian Public Institute of Patent Law.

Head of the patent department of the Scientific Research Institute of Building Construction and Architecture, 1974-1992. Author of eight inventions.

Deputy Head of the Armenian Patent Office on the Examination of Patents and Trademarks, 1992-1995. In 1995 voluntarily left the Armenian Patent Office and established the patent attorney’s firm Nahapet& Co. Ltd.

Sphere of activity: executing, filing, handling the applications for inventions, industrial designs, representation of the clients’ interests before the Armenian IP Office, Board of Appeal and the Administrative Court. During the whole work experience in this sphere prepared and filed over 600 applications for inventions. In 2009 Mr. Nahapetyan was awarded the gold medal of the Eurasian Patent Organization.
